Luis and Sandra Alanso had no idea that attending a Coldplay performance in Mexico in 2016 would forever impact the life of their autistic son Huillo. A video of the touching moment has gone viral on the internet.

Coldplay is currently on tour in Latin America in support of their new album Music of the Spheres. They returned to the Foro Sol stadium, where Huillo first saw them perform live when he was six years old. After discovering his passion for music at the age of 12, the young singer presented his self-composed song to a standing ovation from both the audience and the musicians.

A moment from the 2016 concert was shared in a video uploaded by the rock band on their social media site, in which tiny Huillo was seen becoming emotional to ‘Fix You.’ Chris Martin welcomed Huillo and his father on stage after emphasising how special the situation was for the members of Coldplay.

The young youngster, who was playing a grand piano on stage with band members, played his own song, ‘Being Different Is OK,’ which had the audience and internet users in tears.

Alluding to the viral video that so moved the British band that they invited him to their show, the young boy’s website reads. “Huillo loves music and Coldplay is his favorite band – for Huillo, music is the most important therapy, it has so much power,” he added, “For us, everything started that day at the Coldplay’s concert.”

It was tremendously wonderful to be able to not only finally meet them, but also to share the stage with them. “If only the world was like this always!” the family exclaimed on Instagram, sharing a photo from their performance and thanking the band for their thoughtful gesture.
