Terrifying video: A paraglider collides with a fence owing to a dust devil

A paraglider was whisked away by a dust devil while preparing for his flight in a spine-chilling video from Austria. The incident occurred on March 21 in Stubenberg, Steiermark, and the video was uploaded on YouTube by ViralHog.

The man can be seen getting ready for the flight in the 20-second footage. He was wearing his parachute when he was whisked up into the air by a dust devil.

The man then collided with a barrier before collapsing to the ground. He was raised again a few moments later and then recklessly crashed into a tree. In fact, the impact caused some branches to fall.

Reads the caption of the post on YouTube, “I was preparing to launch with my paraglider when a dust devil plucked me up and smashed me into the fence, then into a tree. I did not get hurt during this incident.”
