While hiking in a steep region of Thailand, a group of hikers had a once-in-a-lifetime event. As they passed through a narrow hallway, a large snake sprang on one of them. Thankfully, it didn’t bite. The shocking incident was caught on camera and has since gone viral.

It showed a woman strolling ahead as another person filmed her as she ascended. Despite the fact that they were not expecting a slithery surprise, they appeared to be enjoying the journey. A big snake jumped on the person behind the lens as it popped out of the bushes alongside the rocky stretch. As the camera fell out of focus, the terrified hikers yelled and raced to safety.

The tragedy occurred in Chiang Rai, a mountainous district in northern Thailand. ViralHog then published the footage on YouTube the next day. Reads the caption, “A rat snake surprises people on a hike.”

So far, more than 12,000 people have watched the video on YouTube. A commenter also stated that people should flee as soon as they see a snake. The individual wrote, “Run save yourself, don’t stop running, never look back.” Another person thought the hikers were slow to react to the snake attack. As the user said, “Such a late reaction.”
