Watch: Oregon crash leads to the discovery of the long-abandoned vehicle

After an automobile skidded off the road and landed on a moss-covered vehicle that appeared to have been abandoned “for quite some time,” firefighters in Oregon are hunting for explanations.

When an automobile crashed near the crossroads of Highway 238 and Wagon Trail Road, the Jacksonville Fire Department and Applegate Valley Fire District #9 responded.

According to firefighters, the car had left the road and crashed into a forested area. As a result of the collision, no injuries were reported. As the fire department stated in a Facebook post, “What makes this crash peculiar is that it landed right next to the car that has been down there for quite some time growing moss on it. Does anyone have the history on the older car and when/how it got down there?”

As per the post, officials are now working to solve the mystery of the abandoned car. the post asked,  “Does anyone have the history on the older car and when/how it got down there?”
