A lady in Telangana chastised her son by putting chilli powder into his eyes in a desperate attempt to halt his cannabis addiction.

The horrific video of the youngster yelling for aid has gone popular online, sparking a discussion among netizens over whether or not that was the proper way to handle him. The youngster is seen tied to a pole with a rope in a video. Another lady is seen holding his hands while his mother puts chilli powder on his face in the footage. His mother continues to bash him despite the boy’s screams and tears.

The incident, which was recorded on video in the Suryapet district’s Kodad hamlet, was reportedly repeated until the 15-year-old youngster vowed to give up his addiction.

The mother, Ramana, talked to local media after the video went viral to explain why she was obliged to take such harsh measures. The mother, who identified herself as a daily wager, stated that she had no idea how or where her son Suresh became addicted to marijuana.

She said in Telugu, “His addiction has aggravated in the last year. He falls down here and there. We have to go and search for him. He is addicted to it. Nobody is bothered.”

Many people asked if they might assist the youngster in enrolling in a drug recovery centre in any manner. Others called on the local police to step up their efforts against drug peddlers who sell to minors.
