That is demonstrated in a video that is becoming popular online. An elephant herd  enters the scene as it begins by crossing a river. A mother and her calf are left behind, attempting to cross the swiftly moving water.

The mother and her calf are soon seen leaving the river and heading in the direction of the impatient herd.

Since being published earlier today on Twitter, the video has accumulated over 32,000 views and 1,836 likes.

Videos showing elephants having fun in captivity or in their natural environment have been widely shared on social media. They were seen leading a newborn elephant through a road in a recent viral video that circulated on social media.

In the widely shared video, the calf was seen making the most of its short legs to keep up with the enormous jumbos that are escorting it.
