British stunt driver sets a new world record for parallel parking
At the British Motor Show, a stunt driver broke not one but two Guinness World Records. The first record was for parallel parking, and the second record was for doing donuts around a motorcycle.
During the British Motor Show in Farnborough, England, Paul Swift attempted to break the record for the tightest parallel park in an electric car twice in an effort to break the Guinness World Record.
The first effort that Swift made, which took place on the opening day of the exhibition, was successful in setting the record with 13.8 inches to spare. On the fourth day of the event, he parked with 11.8 inches of extra space, which was enough to break his own record.
Swift remarked, “I’m shaking like a leaf,” after she had successfully broken the record for a second time.
Additionally, Swift broke the record for the most doughnuts (spins) performed on a motorcycle while doing a wheelie in one minute. Swift performed a series of tight laps around motorbike stuntman JD Stunts while driving a Ford Mustang. In his first effort, he was successful in breaking the record by driving in 8 close circles around the motorcycle. On his second attempt, he improved his score by driving in 10 donuts, bringing the grand total to 20.
