David Rush blows peas for 250th Guinness World Record
David Rush, a man with a long history of breaking Guinness World Records, recently reclaimed his title for holding the record for the greatest distance travelled while blowing a pea.
Around six and a half years ago, Rush, who strives to break Guinness World Records in order to promote education in STEM fields, was the holder of the pea-blowing record. At the time, he had blown a pea a distance of 24 feet and 7.6 inches.
Since then, at least three people have succeeded in shattering the record, including Rush, who did so with a throw that measured 41 feet. The record currently stands at 52 feet and 9.96 inches.
Rush made an effort to recapture the championship and was successful in doing so. He blew his pea 84 feet and 11.28 inches, which was more than twice as far as his previous try. As a result, Rush easily reclaimed the record. Rush has stated that his most recent accomplishment takes the number of records he has broken to 250.
