A black leopard may be seen in a viral video using a spotlight to hunt a deer in the wild. Twitter user posted the video to Twitter with the caption, “A perfect capture. By both the leopard and the person taking the video.”
In the video, the black leopard was seen with its mouth around the deer’s neck. But a few seconds later, the big cat was seen leaving its prey on the ground and running away. It had been startled by the bright light and noise made by the photographers. Mr. Nanada wrote in the caption that the video was a “perfect capture,” but he also questioned whether it was okay to film animals at night under a full-glare spotlight.

“But who gave the right to capture these rare moments of nature in full glare of spot light?” user asked in the post.

Since user posted the video on Saturday, it has gotten over 31,000 views and more than 1,200 likes. Internet users pointed out the same problem in the comments section, and one even said the video was “scary.”

“Let the wild stay in wild and not under the camera. Stop allowing any photographer at night,” one person wrote. “This is scary because the leopard might leave its prey because it is afraid of the light and then go hungry. Let wild animals live in the wild and not in front of the camera. Stop letting anyone take pictures at night, “another was added.

A third person said, “We are messing with nature way too much,” and a fourth said, “Very well said. We are just so self-centered that we record everything as if we have the right to do so.”

We still don’t know where the video was filmed.

Also, leopards were in the news this week when a family in Satara, Maharashtra, was shocked to find a leopard inside their house. While the Koyanagar family was away at the Durga idol immersion, the animal got into their house.

The leopard was sitting at the door of a room when the family came home. The family ran out and locked the door, so the leopard couldn’t get out. Teams from the Forest Department were told, and the animal was later caught.
