Madonna, the American singer-songwriter, is making headlines once more. This time, for what appears to be licking water from a dog bowl. On Wednesday, she posted a video to her official Instagram account, and the Internet was unimpressed. The singer appears to be dressed in a neon green sweater, tights, and thigh-high boots. The video begins with her posing for photos while seated on a motorcycle before transitioning to a grainy shot of her head just above the dog dish. She appears to be licking the water out of it. She has included the Stooges’ song I Wanna Be Your Dog in her video. Take a look at this:

The clip elicited outrage and cringes from social media users. Many people who used to call themselves Madonna followers were outraged by her now-viral post. In the comments area, a handful of them called it “embarrassing.” “I don’t know which train wreck is harder to watch your’s or Britney’s? The only difference is you’re older and have newer clothes. It is okay to fade away and just be .” Instagram user said.

“I used to love Madonna but this is just pitiful. I am so sad to see her disrespecting herself like this. Girl this is no class, what happened to you? Time to unfollow .” another stated.

“Is there any point in these ridiculous never-ending altered selfies? It’s borderline narcissistic,” said the third commenter.

“None of this is thought-provoking or ‘different’. You lost touch. You used to be ahead of the game. You created it. The changes to your body too. This is screaming desperation to stay young or relevant. The last thing any of us would have expected from Madonna,” fourth stated.

Meanwhile, in 1986, the singer-songwriter became the first female musician to earn the Video Vanguard Award. In addition, she has 7 Grammy Awards and 28 nominations, 2 Golden Globe Awards from 7 nominations, and 2 Brit Awards from 12 nominations.
