McDonald built its first-ever automated location in Texas’s Fort Worth last year, causing quite a stir on social media. The facility is almost totally automated, from machines taking orders to robots delivering food. It is intended to be a ‘grab and go’ facility with no dining options. Social media influencer Kaansanity recently visited the shop and shared his experience. He even posted it on his personal Instagram account. It drew a lot of attention, as expected.
“What do you guys think about this?” asks the video’s description, which was posted to the Instagram account @kaansanity. It also has a flushed face emoticon. Kaansanity opens the film by alerting viewers about McDonald’s first automated restaurant with no personnel. As the movie progresses, he takes a tour of the small shop and places an order at a kiosk. What do you think? It is delivered by a robot. He finally placed an order online and picks it up in the drive-thru.
On January 20, the video was shared. It has subsequently received over 7.8 lakh views, and the number is continuously growing. The video has also received over 16,300 likes and several comments.
“Maybe I’ll get the right order for once,” posted an individual. “My vote is no. I like people better than machines,” shared another. “Crispy French fries please,” commented a third. “How does the food get made?” inquired a fourth.
