Watch: Video shows tornado ripping through US city
Video of a tornado tumbling roofs, ripping the walls of many homes, and uprooting trees in the United States city of Selma, Alabama, is circulating on social media platforms.
At least six people were murdered in the spinning storm system bursting in Selma, a city of around 18,000 people located about 50 miles (80 kilometres) west of Montgomery, Alabama’s capital city.
Brick buildings crumbled, automobiles were on their sides, and traffic poles were strewn across the downtown district of Selma, a city engraved in the history of the civil rights fight.
