Filmmaker Guneet Monga is scheduled to wed on December 12. She posted...
A bag of popcorn and a screening of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge at Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir are nothing less than tourist attractions, any Mumbaikar will tell you. Since its debut in 1995, the theatre has become renowned for showing the hit film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Surely it is a feat.
Wait until you see what two content producers did to honour the King of Bollywood and one of his hugely successful films. Onella Rodrigues and Siddhesh Lokare shared a clip on Instagram detailing their inspiration for reenacting DDLJ sequences.
Siddhesh introduces the video by explaining how he came up with the idea for it while browsing reels. He met Onella, another Instagram blogger, during this procedure.
The remainder of the clip shows the pair travelling to Maratha Mandir while sporting Simran’s (Kajol’s character) white outfit and Raj’s (SRK’s) leather jacket. They recreated the well-known scenario in which Raj shows up in Simran’s hometown to declare his love for her. She then sprints through a gorgeous field of mustard flowers, or saarson phool, to embrace Raj. Do you have goosebumps?

The video astounded viewers, and it has received over 139k views. While some people commented that the footage inspired them to rewatch the film, others noted that SRK’s performance in DDLJ is nothing less than an emotion.
