Since humans brought these beautiful animals under domestication years ago, dogs have been a part of our lives. This bond has evolved over time to become more akin to that of human parents and their dog children, or as the saying goes, “best friend.” This viral video provides further evidence for the second section.

A man and his dog are taking a stroll. The road is empty and it is getting dark. An approaching bike with two riders makes a sharp U-turn and approaches the man from the direction he is walking. The rider in the pillion jumps off and swings at the man. The man’s dog senses that its master is in danger and leaps at the assailant before he has a chance to touch him. He and his companion flee as the dog’s abrupt behavior startles them.

The video is shared on X by Figen @TheFigen_ with the caption, “That’s why dogs are our best friends!”

It’s all said in the caption. If you look closely, you’ll see that there’s another bike with two riders heading in the same direction, but it passes the man and does a U-turn; however, as the dog foils the attackers’ schemes, they too flee.
