Gypsy Rose Blanchard, set to be released from her 10-year prison sentence on December 28, has a specific wish post-release. The infamous figure, involved in her mother’s murder, aims to meet Taylor Swift at the Kansas City Chiefs game on December 31. Blanchard, inspired by Swift’s songs, particularly “Eyes Open,” plans to attend the game with tickets already purchased.

Blanchard, 32, says she found strength in Swift’s music and wishes to thank the pop icon for teaching her the true meaning of “girl power.” Despite her troubled past, which includes her involvement in her mother Dee Dee’s death, Blanchard intends to meet Swift, whom she affectionately refers to as “the kick-ass chick.”

While Blanchard is excited to meet football player Travis Kelce at the game, he has a backup plan: buying tickets to Swift’s October 2024 New Orleans tour stop if the initial encounter does not happen. Blanchard, who felt responsible for her mother’s murder as a result of years of abuse, sees this request as a beautiful moment of healing and connection.
