Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson, who appeared to be in a blissful relationship, have called it quits amid public scrutiny. The couple began dating in 2021 and had their first kid, Leo, in 2023. Their relationship, however, took a turn when Jackson publicly chastised Palmer for her clothing choices. Despite their on-again, off-again appearances, Palmer petitioned for full custody of Leo in November 2023, citing charges of physical and emotional abuse by Jackson.

Darius Jackson, sometimes known as Darius Daulton, is a fitness and entertainment professional. He investigated a career in sports media before delving into acting after growing up playing sports and attending Fresno State University on a football scholarship. Sarunas Jackson, whose brother played in HBO’s “Insecure,” has teased several acting possibilities on social media.

The couple, who were initially quiet about their love, went public on Instagram in August 2021 but faced split rumours in the spring of 2022. In July 2023, Jackson’s public criticism of Palmer’s attire sparked outrage, leading to reports of their breakup in August. Palmer, on the other hand, claimed in a November restraining order application that the relationship formally terminated in October for the benefit of their son Leo, citing Jackson’s post-breakup instability and risk. Palmer also requested sole legal and physical custody of their child in the legal filing. Jackson’s response to the claims has not been made public.
