After nine months, they got engaged and have been busy planning their wedding. Thorne shared in December 2023 that since getting engaged, their relationship has only gotten stronger, and they feel closer every day.

“It’s really like, ‘Oh wow, we’re really, you’re my partner.’ Let’s do this together,” she said. “So that kind of becomes more real every day, and kind of solidifies our partnership more and more every day.”

Emms runs his own production company called Emms Productions and works as a producer at Eastern Road Films, according to his LinkedIn. Before this, he started a company called Fire Global Media Productions in 2008 but left in 2019.

He’s worked with big names like Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Ellie Goulding, Tony Bennett, and Dua Lipa. In 2022, he was in charge of producing the Netflix series Bad Vegan, which tells the story of Sarma Melngailis, a vegan restaurant owner conned out of money by her husband.

“I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. It was the most bizarre and surreal story I’d ever heard and I had to try and make sense of it,” Emms told about why he wanted to fund the series. “How and why did this nightmare happen to someone like Sarma? It was also a story that I found deeply shocking and cruel and it felt important that it be told to a wider audience.”
