Benjamin Reese, a 51-year-old social studies teacher with almost ten years of experience at Warner Robbins Middle School, is in the middle of a troubling controversy. He’s facing serious charges because he was arrested for making threats against a student. This has caused a lot of worry among the school community.

A situation arose in a school when a Muslim student objected to having an Israeli flag in the classroom. Benjamin Reese, who allegedly made a threatening comment towards the student, was arrested and faces charges including Misdemeanor Cruelty to Children and Felony Terroristic Threats and Acts.

Despite serious charges, Reese was released on bond just two days after his arrest, causing concern within the school community about student safety.

Benjamin Reese, born in 1972 in Georgia to a Jewish family, started his career with a strong desire to serve his country. After joining the U.S. Navy in 1991, he had a 17-year military career, earning recognition from the Navy, Marine Corps, and NATO.

Retiring in 2008, Reese shifted to education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education and joining Warner Robins Middle School in 2013.

However, recent allegations have raised doubts about Reese’s nine-year tenure, putting his career and reputation at risk.
