Connor Grytdahl, a 30-year-old resident of Elbow Lake, Minnesota, was arrested for shooting his brother, Stephen Grytdahl, during an argument. Connor called 911 himself, reporting his brother for violating probation by drinking.

Law enforcement arrived at the residence but found no evidence of a struggle as Connor had claimed. Stephen was pronounced dead despite attempts to revive him.

Earlier, Connor had reported his brother for probation violation related to a previous DWI conviction. Court documents reveal that Connor admitted to arming himself with a handgun out of fear.

Connor faced second-degree murder charges in court, with bail set at $1 million. He is married to Katelyn Grytdahl, and they have two daughters.

Born in Tennessee, Connor grew up with his brother, Stephen, in Collierville. He pursued education in Hydraulics and Fluid Power Technology and had a successful career in sales before the tragic incident in February 2024.
