Pammy Maye, a 48-year-old mother from Ohio, made headlines in February 2024 when she was arrested in connection with the disappearance and tragic death of her 5-year-old foster son, Darnell Taylor.

Darnell was reported missing on February 14, sparking a widespread search effort. Sadly, his lifeless body was found two days later in a sewage drain. Maye’s suspicious behavior, including attempting to prevent her husband from calling 911 and leaving the house hastily, raised concerns.

She was later apprehended by police in Brooklyn, Ohio, and taken into custody. Maye, who had been fostering Darnell since May 2023, faces serious charges, including kidnapping and child endangerment, and is now under investigation for homicide.

Despite her husband’s acknowledgment of her struggles with depression and bipolar disorder, the tragic incident has deeply affected their family.
