Hailing from Louisiana, United States, Wu’s journey into the realms of math contests and programming was catalyzed by his elder brother, Neal Wu, an accomplished math enthusiast and skilled coder. Inspired by his brother’s achievements, Wu delved into computer programming, eventually pursuing economics at Harvard University before venturing to San Francisco to establish his own company.

Between 2017 and 2022, Wu co-founded and served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at LunchClub, leveraging his expertise in competitive programming to drive its success.
