Shauntae Heard, a 21-year-old resident of Danielsville, recently made headlines for her troubling actions towards street performer Andrew Shoe. While Shoe was playing the piano on the streets of Athens, Georgia, Heard intentionally struck the piano, causing it to collapse. She also tampered with the keyboard setup and stole money from Shoe’s collection bucket.

The incident was captured on video and quickly went viral on social media, leading to widespread backlash against Heard. Despite attempting to apologize, she faced criticism from thousands of people online. Even singer-songwriter Charlie Puth reached out to Shoe to offer support.

Heard, who attended Madison County High School and currently works at a Hollister store, has a criminal record, with charges including theft and financial transaction card fraud.
