Chasity Nunez, a 27-year-old National Guardsman working at MIT, was tragically killed in Worcester, Massachusetts, alongside her 11-year-old daughter, Zella, in a shooting outside their home. The motive behind the attack remains unclear.

Chasity, who served in the Connecticut Army National Guard, and her daughter were shot while sitting in their car. Despite efforts to save them, they succumbed to their injuries. The suspected gunmen, Karel Mangual and Dejan Belnavis, are being pursued by authorities.

Chasity, born on June 12, 1996, in New York, attended South High Community School before graduating from the University of Maryland in 2018. She was pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Analytics at the University of Maryland Global Campus while working at MIT Healthcare Innovation.

Known for her dedication to her work and studies, Chasity’s life was tragically cut short by senseless violence, leaving behind a promising future.
