Boston Celtics veteran Al Horford celebrated his first NBA championship win in June 2024. Off the court, Horford focuses on his family, including his wife, Amelia Vega, and their five children.

Horford and Vega, both originally from the Dominican Republic, met in Boston and married in 2011. Vega, a former Miss Universe crowned in 2003, has also had a successful career in acting and singing. The couple first met at the Latin Pride Awards in 2007 and began dating a few years later, solidifying their bond.

The couple’s wedding on Christmas Eve in 2011 had a hiccup when they realized three hours before the ceremony that there was no limousine for the bride. Baseball legend David Ortiz saved the day by lending them his Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Horford and Vega have five children: Ean, born in 2015, Alía in 2016, Ava in 2018, Nova in 2021, and Mila in 2022. Vega frequently shares their family moments on social media, showcasing their close-knit bond.
