Bill Paxton, born on May 17, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas, was a highly versatile American actor and director, renowned for his memorable roles in a range of iconic films and television series. Paxton began his career in the late 1970s, initially working behind the scenes before transitioning to acting. His breakthrough came with notable roles in the 1980s, such as Private Hudson in “Aliens” (1986) and Severen in “Near Dark” (1987). He continued to build his reputation with performances in blockbuster hits like “Twister” (1996), where he played storm chaser Bill Harding, and “Titanic” (1997), where he portrayed treasure hunter Brock Lovett.
In addition to his film work, Paxton made a significant impact on television. He starred in the critically acclaimed HBO series “Big Love” (2006-2011), playing Bill Henrickson, a polygamist struggling to balance the needs of his three wives and family.
