Cameron Mathison and his wife, Vanessa Mathison, have announced their separation after 22 years of marriage. The couple, who wed on July 27, 2002, shared the news via a joint Instagram statement on July 31, just days after their anniversary.

They expressed their decision to part ways with “deep love, kindness, and respect,” emphasizing their commitment to prioritizing their children.

The statement read, “After 22 years of marriage, we have made the difficult decision to part ways. We enter this new chapter with deep love, kindness, and respect for each other. We hold gratitude in our hearts for the wonderful years we shared together. Our children have been and will continue to be our highest priority, and we will forever share in our devotion and love for them.”

Cameron, 54, recently spoke about the challenges of transitioning to an “empty nester” with his daughter heading to college. He shared summer moments with his children on Instagram, although Vanessa was not featured in the photos. Vanessa, 57, commented with heart emojis on Cameron’s post.

The actor, known for his roles in “General Hospital” and “All My Children,” has indicated plans to focus on personal interests and fitness as he moves forward. He is also pursuing a career as a functional health coach.
