American meteorologist James Cantore was born on February 16, 1964. His on-air presence for The Weather Channel is what made him most famous. He is currently in the headlines as the meteorologist is covering Hurricane Helene in Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Jim Cantore, a meteorologist with The Weather Channel since 1986, is known for his ability to make complex weather events easily understandable for viewers. He has covered events like the Space Shuttle launch and NFL games and has received prestigious awards for his contributions. Cantore also narrates “Storm Stories” and appeared on NBC’s The Today Show and during the 2012 London Olympics.
Cantore’s two kids and ex-wife are both fragile X syndrome patients. Cantore volunteers with the Fragile X Research Foundation, the Parkinson’s Unity Walk, and FRAXA. He has also participated in national Make-a-Wish Foundation events as a volunteer, and he has held a celebrity cabinet position with the American Red Cross.
