Anthony Po faced a hefty fine after organizing a breakthrough public event, but Timothée Chalamet offered to cover the cost. However, Po refused the gesture.

On Tuesday, Po revealed that the “Dune” star’s team contacted him to pay the $500 fine for the viral Timothée Chalamet look-alike contest he organized on October 27 in downtown Manhattan.

The YouTuber called being contacted by the Hollywood heartthrob’s team “truly funny.” Ultimately, the digital invite app Partiful stepped in and paid the fine.

Po’s event gained viral attention, partly due to the civil unrest it sparked. The NYPD arrested four attendees while breaking up the gathering. Officials fined Po $500 for failing to obtain a permit.

The internet star revealed how Chalamet’s team responded to the viral event, which featured a surprise appearance by the actor himself.

“They basically [said] like, ‘We thought it was awesome. Thanks so much.’ It was all good and fun,” Po said, sharing the team’s reaction.
