Light rain showers likely to hit parts of the country, says PMD

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday has predicted cold and dry weather conditions in most parts of the country.

Some areas will witness thunderstorms and light snow in northwest Baluchistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, PMD said.

According to the details, on Tuesday morning there were light clouds and cold weather was also recorded.

In the morning, the temperature in Islamabad was recorded at 10 degrees Celsius, which can go up to a maximum of 18 degrees.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain cold in most districts of Baluchistan province, but light rains may occur in some places of Quetta, Fort Abdullah, Chagi and Turbat districts.

The weather is likely to be cloudy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on Tuesday.

Light rains and snowfall are expected in some places in Dir, Swat, Chitral, Peshawar, Abbottabad and Hazara districts.

According to PMD, people of Punjab likely to witness light fog in the morning in Narowal, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Lahore and Bahawalpur districts, but in other areas the weather will be cold and dry.

In most districts of Sindh province, the weather will be dry, but in some parts of upper Sindh, light fog may be possible in the morning hours.

During the last 24 hours, the weather was dry and cold in most parts of the country and severe cold hits the northern areas.

The coldest temperature was recorded in Skardu where it was minus 8 degrees Celsius.
