PMD predicts cold wave in Karachi this week

Cold wave is likely to hit Karachi this week and will cause a severe decrease in temperature.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that cold wave will intensify the temperature in Karachi and it is likely to drop to 6 degrees Celsius till 22nd January.

The maximum temperature can reach 22 degrees Celsius in Karachi during the day.

There are chances of Cold Wave because of western Siberian winds.

Apart from these, PMD has predicted that the weather will remain cold and dry in several parts of the country.

Also, the weather will remain severely cold in northern areas and northern districts of Balochistan.

Rain and snowfall are predicted in Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, and nearby areas.

PMD has also predicted fog in various parts of Punjab tonight.

PMD has revealed these predictions until tomorrow.

The weather was cold and dry in the previous 24 hours. Over 11 mm rain and -11 degrees Celsius temperature were recorded in Skardu. Around 2-inch snowfall was recorded in Astore.

Note that around 7 people have lost their lives due to land sliding in Gilgit Baltistan.

Also, four people, including a woman and a child, have gotten injured as the result of land sliding.

above all, more than 70 people have died because of intense cold weather in Azaad Kashmir.
