Karachi received rainfall & dust storm last night

Rainfall and dust storm were reported in Karachi and other parts of Sindh on Thursday night.

Areas including Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Nazimabad, Malir and Jamshed Town received rainfall with dust storm.

In addition to this, Jacobabad received rain with thunderstorms as well.

Furthermore, a 12-year-old died in a rain-related accident in Lahore as the city received heavy monsoon rains on Thursday.

Hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country on Friday. However, rain/wind-thundershower is expected in Sindh, northeast Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Dust-thunderstorm/rain is also expected in south Punjab.

According to the met department, seasonal low lies over western Balochistan. Moist currents are penetrating upper and central parts of the country from Bay of Bengal.

Hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country on Saturday. However, rain/wind-thundershower is expected at isolated places in upper Punjab, eastern Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Dust-thunderstorm/rain is also expected in south Punjab.

Rain wind-thunderstorm occurred in upper and central Punjab, Sindh, lower Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Weather remained hot and humid elsewhere in the country.
