KARACHI: The weather in the metropolitan city is expected to remain hot and dry throughout the day.

As per the meteorological department, the minimum temperature recorded was 20.5 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature today may reach 30 to 35 degrees Celsius.

The humidity ratio in the air is 49% and the winds are blowing from North-East at a speed of 6 km per hour in the city.

However, there is no chance of rain in the city for the next 24 hours.

On the other hand, owing to the increase in air pollution, Karachi comes first in the list of most polluted cities in the world.

The amount of polluted air in Karachi is a record 180 particulate meters.

Meanwhile, Lahore stands seventh among the most polluted cities. The amount of polluted dust in the air of Lahore is a record 179 particulate meters.

The air in Lahore and Karachi is declared hazardous to the health of the citizens. 151 to 200 degrees of pollution is harmful to health.

Moreover, pollution from 201 to 300 degrees is extremely harmful to health. A rating greater than 301 indicates hazardous contamination.
