Karachi rain updates: Monsoon rains to begin in Sindh from today

KARACHI: The Met Office has predicted the occurrence of dust-thunderstorms and rainfall in different districts of Sindh, starting from Thursday evening (today) and continuing until the 10th of July.

These weather conditions are expected to be scattered across the region.

“Rainfall and dust-thunderstorm likely in Dadu, Jamshoro, Qambar- Shahdadkot, Tharparker and Umerkot districts from this evening/night till July 10 with occasional gaps,” according to the Met Office.

According to the Meteorological Office, monsoon winds are expected to move towards the eastern and northwestern regions of Sindh starting today and then gradually extend across the entire province.

There is a possibility of dust-thunderstorms/rain in the Karachi division and districts including Shaheed Benazirabad, Matiari, Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, Badin, Thatta, and Sujawal. These weather conditions are expected to occur from tomorrow until July 10, with intermittent breaks. Some areas may experience heavy rainfall at times.

Meanwhile, weather report predicts that starting tomorrow until July 9th, there will be dust-thunderstorms/rain in Larkana, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, and Naushahro Feroz. There may be isolated heavy rainfall during this period, but there might also be occasional breaks in the weather.
