The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted rain, thunderstorms, and possible hailstorms with snowfall in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Sunday night to Tuesday (February 25-27). This is due to a westerly wave entering Balochistan on Sunday night, affecting the upper parts of the country on Monday.

The regions likely to be affected include Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Buner, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Peshawar, Mohmand, Bajaur, Khyber, Kurram, Kohat, Bannu, and Waziristan. Snowfall may disrupt traffic in several areas, and there’s a potential for landslides in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Wind thunderstorms could damage structures like electric poles and solar panels.

In Peshawar, the minimum temperature is expected to be between 05-07 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 06-08 C on Sunday.
