Peshawar, KPK weather update; More Rains Expected

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts cold and dry weather for Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the upcoming days. A shallow westerly wave is present across most of Pakistan, leading to cold and partly cloudy conditions in Peshawar and most areas on Monday night. Upper districts may experience freezing temperatures.

Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to bring cold and dry weather to Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with extremely cold conditions in upper districts. Minimum temperatures in Peshawar are projected to range between 03-05 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 02-04 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

During the last 24 hours, Peshawar and most districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa experienced cold and partly cloudy weather, with freezing conditions in upper districts. Kalam recorded the lowest temperature in the province, dropping to 08 degrees Celsius below freezing. In Peshawar, the minimum temperature was 04 degrees Celsius, with a morning relative humidity of 84 percent.
