The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts that Lahore and most of Punjab will experience cold and dry weather on Thursday evening/night, Friday, and Saturday.

This is due to a shallow westerly wave prevailing over Kashmir and nearby areas. The provincial metropolis and most parts of the province will see mainly cold and dry conditions during this period, with freezing weather expected in Murree, Galyat, and surrounding areas.

On Friday and Saturday, Lahore’s minimum temperature is expected to be between 8-10 degrees Celsius, while Murree’s minimum temperature will range from -3 to -1 degrees Celsius.

In the last 24 hours, cold and dry weather was observed in most parts of the province, including Lahore. Murree experienced freezing weather, becoming the coldest place in Punjab with a temperature dropping 1 degree Celsius below freezing. In Lahore, the minimum temperature was recorded at 10 degrees Celsius. These weather conditions are likely to continue, and people in these areas should be prepared for the cold temperatures.
