Sunday morning brought pleasant weather to Karachi after many areas experienced light rain a couple of days before the start of Ramadan.

Several neighborhoods, including Korangi, North Karachi, Nazimabad, Landhi, Saddar, II Chundrigar Road, Clifton, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, and Shahra-e-Faisal, received light showers.

The National Stadium in Karachi was also affected by the drizzle, raising concerns about the scheduled Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators in the evening.

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz predicted more drizzle and light rain due to westerly winds. Monday is expected to be partly cloudy in the city.

Sarfraz mentioned that the sky would clear up from Tuesday, and temperatures could rise to 32°C.

During the first 10 days of Ramadan, the weather will align with the typical average temperature for March.

The Ramadan moon is anticipated to be visible at 2 pm on Sunday, with a likelihood of sighting the next day when it’s over 28 hours old, according to the Met Office.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had previously forecasted cloudy weather in Karachi for the next 24 hours, with drizzling expected on Sunday and Monday.

The recorded minimum temperature in the past 12 hours was 19.5°C, and the maximum temperature was projected to reach 32°C. Humidity in the air was reported at 44%.

The PMD also noted that winds were currently blowing from the southeast at a good speed, with expectations of speeding up to 25-30 kilometers per hour during the day.
