More rain, wind, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and various parts of Pakistan from Monday evening through Tuesday. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reports a strong westerly wave over the upper regions of Pakistan, likely to persist for the next 24 to 36 hours.
These conditions will bring more rain, wind, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms to the twin cities, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir during this period. Heavy rainfall is expected in some areas, potentially leading to flash floods and landslides in specific regions. Windstorms, hailstorms, and lightning may also pose risks to human lives, crops, and structures like electric poles and solar panels.
In terms of temperatures, Islamabad is forecasted to reach maximum temperatures of 30-32 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 33-35 C on Wednesday, while Rawalpindi is expected to have maximum temperatures of 30-32 C on Tuesday and 33-35 C on Wednesday.
In the past 24 hours, rain, wind, and thunderstorms occurred in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab. Hailstorms were also reported in some areas of the Potohar region, Islamabad, Murree, Galyat, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
