Rain, hailstorm predicted in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to have widespread rain, wind, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms from Friday evening through Saturday. The Pakistan Meteorological Department mentions a strong westerly wave affecting most parts of the country.
This weather pattern is likely to bring more rain, thunderstorms, and isolated heavy rainfall in various areas like Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, and many others during Friday evening, night, and Saturday. Hailstorms are also expected in some places, and snowfall may occur in high mountains.
The heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding in some local areas, and there’s a risk of windstorms, hailstorms, and lightning causing damage to crops, electric poles, and solar panels.
Temperatures in Peshawar are expected to range from 22-28 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday.
In the past 24 hours, Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa experienced rain, with varying amounts in different areas. Dera Ismail Khan recorded the highest temperature at 32 degrees Celsius with high humidity in the morning, while Peshawar had a maximum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius.
