Heatwaves are expected to persist across Sindh, with daytime temperatures likely to be 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal on Wednesday and the subsequent two days, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The prevailing weather pattern in most parts of Pakistan is characterized by continental air, with an upper atmospheric high-pressure system contributing to heatwave-like conditions, particularly affecting Punjab and Sindh. These conditions are anticipated to escalate from May 23 and persist until May 27.

In light of this forecast, Karachi, Hyderabad, and various other parts of Sindh are expected to experience persistent heatwaves on Wednesday, with temperatures ranging 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above the seasonal average. The intensity of the heatwaves is expected to heighten on Thursday and continue throughout the week.

In Karachi, maximum temperatures are forecasted to range between 36-38°C on Wednesday and 37-39°C on Thursday. Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, maximum temperatures are projected to range between 42-44°C on Wednesday and 43-45°C on Thursday.
