Peshawar, KPK weather update; More Rains Expected

Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa can expect scattered rain, wind, and thunderstorms on Friday and Saturday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). Continental air covers most of Pakistan, with a shallow westerly wave moving into western Balochistan later, likely affecting western and upper Pakistan on Friday.

Thursday evening and night in Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to be mainly dry with gusty winds.

On Friday and Saturday, rain, wind, and thunderstorms are forecasted in isolated areas like Waziristan, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Kurrum, Chitral, Swat, Dir, Kohistan, Malakand, Shangla, Buner, Manshera, Abbottabad, Peshawar, and Swabi.

Peshawar’s maximum temperatures are predicted to be between 33-35 degrees Celsius on Friday and 34-36 C on Saturday.

During the last 24 hours, dry weather persisted in Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Dera Ismail Khan had the highest temperature at 34 C, with morning humidity at 65 per cent. In Peshawar, the maximum temperature was 30 C, with morning humidity at 67 per cent.
