Residents of Karachi should prepare for a shift in weather conditions as rain is anticipated in the outskirts of the city on June 22. Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has predicted possible showers around the Super Highway and nearby areas.

According to the forecast, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in these regions. Looking ahead, the monsoon onset is projected to commence around June 29 or 30 in Punjab and Kashmir, while in Sindh, including Karachi, it is likely to begin after July 5 or 6. This year, Karachi and other parts of Sindh may experience above-average rainfall. Currently, Karachi is experiencing hot and humid weather, with temperatures reaching between 35 to 37 degrees Celsius.

Humidity levels are at 49 percent. Over the next three days, temperatures could rise further, possibly reaching up to 38 degrees Celsius, with a chance of drizzle in the evening or at night. In Southeast Sindh, areas like Hyderabad and Thatta might also see light rain with thunder and lightning tomorrow afternoon or evening.

Meanwhile, interior Sindh, including Jacobabad, Qambar Shahdadkot, and Larkana, may experience similar weather patterns along with hot and dry conditions in some places. It is advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and make necessary preparations for the expected rainfall.
