LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts increased rainfall of varying intensities and gusty winds across Lahore and parts of Punjab from Friday evening through Sunday.
Weather Patterns
Monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea, combined with a westerly wave affecting upper Pakistan, are expected to bring torrential rains to several regions. Areas likely to be impacted include Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Jhelum, and various other parts of Punjab. Heavy rainfall may occur at isolated spots during this period.
Temperature Outlook
In Lahore, maximum temperatures are anticipated to range from 36-38°C on Saturday and 35-37°C on Sunday amidst the rainy conditions.

Over the past 24 hours, Lahore and parts of Punjab experienced varying intensities of rainfall. In Lahore, Tajpura recorded 120mm, Lakshmi Chowk 81mm, Qurtaba Chowk 70mm, and Gulshan-e-Ravi 68mm. Rawalpindi’s Chaklala AP received 30mm, with other areas also experiencing rainfall. Islamabad’s Saidpur received 17mm, Golra 16mm, and other areas reported lighter showers. Additionally, Kasur received 8mm, and Murree 2mm.
Temperature Highlights
Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan reported the highest temperatures in Punjab, reaching up to 41°C. In Lahore, the maximum temperature recorded was 40°C, with evening relative humidity at 78 percent.
