Karachi is currently experiencing a refreshing change in weather due to light and heavy rains across various areas, including Guru Mandir, Garden, Liaquatabad, Nazimabad, Tower, and II Chundrigar Road. This rainfall has provided much-needed relief from the summer heat, creating a more pleasant atmosphere in the city.

Residents have been enjoying the cool, cloudy weather with intermittent light rain both in the morning and evening, significantly reducing the oppressive heat.

The Met Department forecasts that the city will continue to experience cloudy conditions with light rain throughout the evening. Rain is expected to persist over the next five days, with heavier showers and thunderstorms predicted for Sunday.

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has announced that a new monsoon system is set to enter Karachi starting tomorrow, marking the fourth rain spell of the season on August 4 and 5. This system is anticipated to bring light to moderate rain and occasional thunderstorms on Sunday.

Sarfaraz noted that the pleasant weather is likely to continue throughout August, with temperatures ranging from 30 to 33 degrees Celsius.

Currently, Karachi’s temperature stands at 28 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 87%. Winds are blowing at 32 km/h, contributing to the overall coolness.

The ongoing rains and the upcoming monsoon spell are expected to offer continued relief to Karachi residents, making the typically hot and humid city more comfortable.

In contrast, Islamabad faces a different situation. The Met Department and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) have issued repeated warnings about above-normal rainfall this monsoon season. Citizens are being advised to prepare for potential severe river flooding and urban inundation.
