Afghanistan Taliban have freed five UK citizens, family of writer and businessman Peter Jouvenal reported he was among those released.
Afghanistan has released five British people detained in the country, according to London; which expressed remorse for the incident and apologised to Kabul authorities.
Peter Jouvenal, a writer and businessman with a lengthy history in Afghanistan; was among those released, according to his family.

On Monday, Foreign Secretary Liz Truss tweeted, “Pleased the UK has achieved the release of 5 British nationals held in Afghanistan.”
The five “had no part in the UK government’s operations in Afghanistan; and came to Afghanistan against the UK Government’s travel advice”; the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) said in a separate statement.
