City holds Fireworks Safety Demonstrations before 14th July

“Safe and sane” fireworks are the only type of fireworks that Stockton, California allows.
Illegal fireworks can be in use from noon-11 p.m. Tuesday through July 4.
Police and fire officials and the San Joaquin County Fireworks Task Force are hosting the demonstrations.

City holds Fireworks Safety Demonstrations before 14th July. The demonstrations are being held at 6:30 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday, at various locations by Stockton police, fire, and task force members; as well as the San Joaquin County Fireworks Task Force; to inform locals about how to use and dispose of “safe and sane” fireworks; that the city allows and about the dangers of illegal fireworks; and how to report them to the police.

The only sort of fireworks permitted by the city; are those that have the “Safe and Sane Seal”; of the state fire marshal and can only be in use between noon and midnight.

The Arnold Rue Community Center at 5758 Lorraine Ave, will host the demonstration on Tuesday; the Seifert Community Center at 128 W. Benjamin Holt Drive will host it on Wednesday; the Stribley Community Center at 1760 E. Sonora St. will host it on Thursday; and the Van Buskirk Community Center at 734 Houston Ave. will host it on Friday.
