The two people who died after a motor boat capsized in a Devon lake have been identified by police.

When the boat capsized at Roadford Lake near Okehampton last Wednesday, six persons were on board, four of whom were rescued from the lake.

Two disabled persons, on the other hand, were reported missing, and their bodies were discovered the next day by police after an extended search.

The victims have been identified as 43-year-old Alex Wood and 63-year-old Alison Tilsley, also known as Ali, by police.

Both were from West Devon, and their relatives have been notified.

Ms. Tilsley’s family paid homage to her as a “kind, compassionate, and loving daughter, sister, and auntie” in a statement.

“We are totally devastated by the loss of our beautiful Ali,” they said.

“Her sunny nature, positivity, fantastic sense of humor, and skill with words will be greatly missed.”

“Our hearts are broken forever but the messages of love and support we have received are of great comfort.”
