As a result of Lithuania’s embargo on Russian goods being moved through its territory and into Kaliningrad, there have been verbal spats this week between Lithuania and Moscow.

Kaliningrad, a Russian enclave with 430,000 residents, is flanked by Lithuania and Poland, both EU nations.

Liz Truss supports the action, and Moscow states that it is looking into potential retaliation steps while criticizing the Western-imposed sanctions.

According to a Kyiv couple whose family was torn apart by conflict, millions of Ukrainians are currently suffering from separation.

On February 24, after Russian soldiers invaded Ukraine, Ilyas and Natalia Verdiev left the city of Kyiv with their two boys.

According to UN projections, more than 14 million people have been displaced by the war, and Natalia and her children are currently among the 3.6 million people who have sought sanctuary in Poland.

This has essentially split Ukrainian families apart, along with the government prohibition that prevents men between the ages of 18 and 60 from leaving the country.
