Iran’s representative to the United Nations, Majid Taqt-Ravanchi, reported on Iranian state television that the United States is waging a “war” against Iranian citizens through sanctions.

Some countries use unilateral coercion as a means of war to starve innocent civilians.

Majid Takht Ravanchi told the commission that some states are taking coercive measures as a way of war by starving innocent civilians. He said the United States was attacking Iran with the harshest economic and financial sanctions, posing a direct threat to the lives of vulnerable people.

The Iranian ambassador said the sanctions had killed several Iranian patients, including children, due to restrictions on medicines and medicines.
