Parts of Africa have had an endemic monkeypox for many years. Experts connected its spread to Europe and North America; to two raves in Belgium and Spain.

The primary method of transmission is skin-to-skin contact, although it can also be transferred by sharing bed linens; with a person who has monkeypox. Fever, body pains, chills, tiredness, and hives are among the symptoms. Many males have had very minor cases of the sickness. However, the illness can last for weeks and the lesions can be excruciatingly painful.
